Michelle Marceau, Founder
Director and Founder of the Greenwich Performing Arts Studio & TAKE A BOW , Michelle made her television debut at age nine in a
Tropicana Orange Juice commercial and continued doing commercials through High School. While continuing her professional career, she received a BFA from Boston Conservatory in Drama and Dance. As a dancer, she performed throughout Europe and the USA. On her return to the USA, she had the distinct honor of becoming Joanne Woodward's private ballet teacher for three years after which, she began her career as a choreographer with the National Shakespeare Company in NYC. She continued to perform and choreograph in commercials and Off-Broadway and toured with the American Dance Machine and acting in Soap Operas. The latter led to Michelle's selection as the first permanent choreographer of Daytime Dramas and allowed her to work with such outstanding performers and personalities as BeBe Neuwirth ,Susan Stroman and Martha Stewart. She helped create SRO Productions, a production company dedicated to bringing new works to Off-Broadway. Michelle has been teaching all levels of Theatre Arts for the last 20 years in Greenwich.
But what can we do for your Kids and Teens?
Benefits of Acting are: We help improve our student’s public speaking skills, enhance their
acting abilities, and help them feel comfortable in social settings.
They also learn to refine their brainstorming abilities, listening and observation skills, and creative thinking. TAKE A BOW is teaching Life Skills through the Performing Arts!
We challenge kids to look at what makes up a “Character”. What is the Story in the Song and understanding the Point of View. All things which are so important in our New Reality. While most Theatre Programs are about “putting on the show” at TAKE A BOW we concentrate on bringing out the best in each individual student while remaining “future oriented”. Learning to be creative, flexible and to think out of the box is even more of a necessity now. The Performing Arts has “real world” applications that will make individuals more prepared and adaptable as we move forward in this ever changing climate.
"Your Studio is exceptional! We’re grateful to have teachers as accomplished in their fields as Yourself "
